Henriette Borg Reinholdt – new Director of the Danish Cultural Institute

Danish Cultural Institute in St. Petersburg is delighted to introduce Henriette Borg Reinholdt, our new Director, who started working at the Institute in January 2020.

Henriette Borg Reinholdt holds a Master’s degree in Russian language and culture from the University of Copenhagen and has so far worked at International Media Support. She is well versed in Russian society through her work for the Nordic Council of Ministers in Murmansk.

She states: “Russia is a country of great diversity, which offers differences, but certainly similarities between countries. It offers great potential for learning from and challenging each other.”

This year the Danish Cultural Institute will develop new projects with focus on ecology, sustainability and youth in and out of St. Petersburg and in the Arctic region, as well as continue implementing large scale international projects, including:

– “Waterfront, Tools & Networks. Vol. 2” funded by The Nordic Council of Ministers.

– «Trust – the basis for wealth & happiness of the Nordics,» funded by The Nordics programme of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

On 9 April the Russian premiere of Poul Ruder’s concert, «Sound and Simplicity» with soloist Bjarke Mogensen will be held within the framework of the «Northern Counterpoint» project with support from Nordisk Kulturfond.

In 2020 the Nordic Weeks in North-West Russia will be held under the aegis of Danish Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers. Danish Cultural Institute will be working on the Nordic Weeks’ programme in cooperation with Embassy of Denmark in Russia. This year the joint events by Nordic countries will be organized in Murmansk, St. Petersburg, and Pskov.
